Despite the product is very small, it's easy to apply. Simply place it on a few drops of water, wait about 10 seconds, and slide it onto the model just like a standard decal. Once dry, it can be finished using common modeling techniques such as spray painting, dry brushing, and other standard weathering methods. The surface is nicely raised, making it both realistic in appearance and easy to work with.
